Drug and substance abuse has been regarded as one of the primary concerns nowadays. Each year, drug and alcohol has caused millions of addiction and death resulting from drug and alcohol addiction, whether it’s caused by suicide, over dosage, accidents, or any other causes of deaths. Drug and alcohol addiction can have a devastating effect on someone’s life, and it is something that we must seriously fight against.

Drug addiction is not easy to cure either. If you have ever experienced drug addiction yourself, or being around someone with drug addiction, you must know how hard it is to control once the substance has taken over your body. Another problem in our society nowadays is alcoholism, the term used to explain one’s dependency to the substance of alcohol. An alcoholic person has to consume alcohol repeatedly to make him or her feel normal, and the rate of consumption only becomes more and more frequent as the time goes.

Prescription drug addiction is also one of the problems related to drug addiction. Prescribed drugs are the drugs which require you to obtain valid scripts before you can buy them in pharmacies. This addiction is even more dangerous because prescription drugs are legal substances, therefore you can get them in any pharmacies. The number one prescribed drug in the USA is Hydrocodone which causes a euphoric sensation for its users and has become a popular recreational drug among teenagers, despite the severe addiction effects it can cause.
